Equipment failure

Hi all,

Like Apollo Ono, I wasn't giving this competition my complete focus and lost. Actually, I left my sock project at a friend's yesterday afternoon and have been without it for almost 24 hours. (Sorry I couldn't think of a better analogy) I've been harassing my friend with cell phone calls trying to figure out how to get it back. It's currently riding around with her in her car and has been all over Anchorage. She should be pulling up any minute or else I'll be chasing her down real soon. I will have to knit like a fiend to make up for last nights missed opportunity. I will stay focused from now on and not lose! Diana R.

It has arrived! Just about 5 minutes after I "published" my friend pulled up. So back to the competition!. Diana

Thank goodness your sock has come home!

I'm doing socks too. How's it going? I thought I was in great shape, but of course that was based on weekend knitting, not weekday knitting. Tonight I'm working on the gusset of my first sock, so I guess I'm still on track, more or less.

Hi Kathy,

I'm just ready to do the heel on my first sock, but will wait until my 2nd sock is at that point before I start the heels. These are just the 3rd pair of socks I've knit and I seem to have a real hard time getting them to come out the same, so instead of completing one then doing the 2nd, I'm doing both at close to the same time. Seems by the time I get to the 2nd sock, my knit changes. Diana
