Challenging Alaskans to Knit for the 2010 Olympics! This Team originally formed to meet the challenge of Knitting Olympics 2006. The members cast on a project during the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics and did their best to finish before the Olympic flame went out. We tested ourselves during the Summer Knitting Olympic Trials of August 2008. Now we're heading for February 12, 2010: ready, set, KNIT when the flame is lit!

Knitting a flat swatch, and then hand painting it, is an interesting idea, and seems to work nicely for creating a very pretty sock. Congratulations on completing your project!
