Is Anyone Out There?

Hey Team,

I just wanted to let you know (and this is mostly for you, Choc) that I finally mailed the Chemo Caps to "Cancer Connection" here in Juneau. I finally admitted that I was only going to make one, for now, and that no one besides Choc was going to send any either. So I sent the three I had collected. If and when time allows, we can always send more.

On another note, I'm wondering how the Level I work is going for Linda and Choc. I mailed my Level I submission one week ago. I'm sure there will be stuff I'll have to "rework," but I'm glad to have gotten it in. The next decision will be if I immediately plunge into Level II, or not.

Choc, Thanks for being such a loyal visitor to Knitting Weather. (I'm back at work 4 days a week and I can see it's going to take a toll on the blogging. Hopefully I'll manage to post something every week or so.)

I hope everyone is well. I'd love to hear what everyone is up to knitwise, if you have the notion.

Take care,
k.

Wow, Kathy, I'm impressed that you finished level I and have sent it in. Congratulations! I'll be interested to hear about their response. I need to get going on mine, because it's due in December, and now (according to "Cast On") they've changed the whole curriculum of the Masters Program. I'd like to get it done without having to switch to the new version. Now that my hectic summer field season is over, I think I can get back to it.

Also, I thought I'd sent that Chemo Cap a few months ago, but found the package the other day. I looked at our past blogs, here, trying to find the address to which it should be sent, but couldn't find it. Could you let me know, again, and I'll get it to you ASAP?

And, I thought you might like to know that LisaW. our silent "honorary Alaskan" team member in New Mexico, has had a baby, her first, little Josephine.

Choc, good luck on your Level I. I'll look forward to hearing how it's going. Maybe you and I can post some photos to help keep each other going.

Hey Choc and Linda-

I'm glad to have submitted my level I work, and now I'm waiting to see how much I'll need to redo. I recommend requesting the revised instructions - not that you should follow the new requirements, but because I think they are clearer and make it easier to understand the criteria on which your work will be judged.

My address:
Kathy Yurman
8007 Magnolia Court
Juneau, AK 99801

Congrats to LisaW and baby Josephine!!
